March is Jumpstart Fitness Month
@RedMountainSpa
By General Manager Tracey Welsh
Well, for some of us the New Year’s Resolutions have worn thin. In most parts of the United States folks are really tired of rain and snow, and more rain and snow, and they’re finding it harder to be convinced that it’s best to get out and exercise. Yet, we know that Spring is truly on the way, and we want to be able to enjoy every bit of the splendor.
With the warmth of our sunny skies, March is the time to Jumpstart at Red Mountain. Whether your style of fitness is a morning red rock hike, an afternoon bike ride, or refilling your energy tank, a short getaway will send you home invigorated and ready to do more.
If a longer visit works for you, I suggest you take a look at our Fitness Boot Camp with Fitness Manager Kim Watters and her team of “drill sergeants.” This is an 8-day/7-night package designed to give you a jumpstart on your fitness program, whether you are a beginner, or have just fallen off the treadmill. It’s a comprehensive approach including personal training, metabolic testing, motivation sessions and take home tools so that you can continue your fitness program on your own. I guarantee you’ll find Kim and her team to be the most accommodating fitness army you’ll find. Plus, we’ll reward your hard work with renewing spa treatments and tasty food choices - three healthy and delicious meals a day.
Speaking of food, March is National Nutrition Month, a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored by the American Dietetic Association. The focus is to make informed food choices along with developing sound eating and physical activity habits. We’d love to help you here at Red Mountain, however if you can’t schedule a getaway, think about scheduling an appointment with a Registered Dietician to review your eating habits, whether you’d like to drop a few pounds, or make sure your current diet is helping you prevent future disease.
Best of Health,
Tracey
