The Art of Massage

@RedMountainSpa

By Elisabeth Nehme of [ comfort zone ]

Massage is a nurturing encounter that must be experienced and taught through physical contact. It is difficult to explain in words what can be expressed with a loving touch on a tired, aching body.

Emotions and pain build a barrier of protection around the body, creating a loss or excess of energy. Sensitive areas have either too little or too much energy. By touching or massaging these tender areas it is as if you were “listening to the body” - being able to feel and live again. This transformation will become evident both internally and externally through your new smile, your look and the color of your skin.

The [ comfort zone ] philosophy intends to express itself through massage in a new, simple and effective manner. The choice of each sequence is inspired by ancient rituals from distant practices, following the fine lines of a universal language that transforms each massage technique into a unique “message” from the body and soul.

The body’s physiology allows us to obtain deep results within...from the skin to the muscles, from the muscles to the blood, from the nerve endings to the lungs...each cell interacts with the other as if they were dancing. The body’s ability to expel toxins, shed tension and alleviate pain increases. It becomes evident that nature plays its course in this cycle.

Massage is something that is started but that never finishes, that indefinitely continues and that becomes ever more profound and elevated. Massage is a subtle art. It does not just mean having the ability but also knowing how to express love.

You need contact...when you massage you must think only of massaging. Don’t think about anything else. Go with your fingers, with your hands and allow your entire body to follow them. Do not accept just mere physical contact. Your soul penetrates the other person’s body, and the more intense tension melts away.
